Akabbo Donations

Akabbo Donations adds a configurable donation form to your WordPress site using your Akabbo profile.

This plugin connects to Akabbo, an external software as a service platform for creating donation profiles and processing donor contributions by Mobile Money and Card. Donors submit payment details through the widget, and the plugin sends donation requests to Akabbo’s API so Akabbo can process the payment and return the payment status.

The plugin supports:

• Mobile Money payments for Airtel and MTN in Uganda.
• Card payments by Visa and Mastercard.
• Configurable collection currency: USD or UGX.
• Up to five default donation amounts.
• Custom primary color for buttons, amount selections, payment method selections, and links.
• Mobile Money payment status polling after the donor enters their PIN.
• Optional “Powered by Akabbo” credit link.

To use the plugin, create an Akabbo profile, copy your Akabbo Profile ID from your profile settings, and enter it on the Akabbo settings page in WordPress.
