Alfred is the easy website analytics plugin for small business owners — not marketers, not developers, not data nerds. It connects your WordPress site to Small Business Analytics (smallbusinessanalytics.io) and tells you who’s visiting, where they’re coming from, and what’s actually working — all explained in plain English. No jargon, no complicated dashboards, no Google Analytics confusion.
If you’ve ever opened Google Analytics, seen 47 menus, gotten overwhelmed, and closed the tab — this plugin is for you.
This plugin connects your WordPress site to your SBA dashboard. Install it, paste in your tracking code, and you’re done. No theme files to edit, no Google Tag Manager, no developer needed.
Because Google Analytics was built for marketers at big companies. Most small business owners open GA4, see 47 menus, get confused, and close the tab.
SBA tells you things like:
The dashboard is in plain English. Numbers are explained in plain English. An AI assistant named Alfred can answer questions like “is my Instagram working?” — and actually answer them.
It does exactly one thing: adds your SBA tracking code to every page of your site. That’s it.
wp_head hook. This plugin connects your site to Small Business Analytics, which is a free 7-day trial, then a paid service (plans start at $9/month). No credit card is required to start — sign up at smallbusinessanalytics.io (about a minute) and you’ll get your tracking code right away. Paste it into the plugin settings and you’re tracking. After 7 days you add a card to keep going; if you don’t, your trial simply ends and you’re never charged automatically.
This plugin connects to Small Business Analytics (https://smallbusinessanalytics.io), a third-party website analytics service, to enable visitor tracking on your site.
What it does:
The plugin loads a small JavaScript tracker file from https://app.smallbusinessanalytics.io/tracker.js on every public-facing page of your site. When a visitor browses your site, the tracker sends anonymous visit data (page URL, referrer, device type, approximate location based on IP, time on page) to https://app.smallbusinessanalytics.io/api/track so it can appear in your SBA dashboard.
What data is sent:
– Page URL and title
– Referring URL (where the visitor came from)
– Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop) and browser
– Approximate location (city/region/country, derived from IP — IP itself is not stored long-term)
– Time on page, scroll depth, basic engagement signals
– A randomly generated visitor ID stored in the browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) for returning-visitor recognition
What data is NOT sent:
– Personally identifying information (no names, emails, phone numbers, account info)
– Form contents, passwords, or sensitive page content
– Anything from logged-in WordPress admin pages — the tracker only runs on public pages
Terms and Privacy:

You need a Small Business Analytics account (free trial available, paid plans start at $9/month) for the tracker to actually log visits to a dashboard you can view. The plugin itself can be installed without an account, but won’t display data anywhere until you add your tracking code.
