ChartQuill is a professional charting toolkit for creating clear, compelling
visual stories in WordPress. From a simple comparison to a detailed report, it
makes sophisticated chart creation feel at home in the block editor.

Choose a chart, add or paste your data, and shape the result with purposeful
controls for mapping, formatting, colour, and presentation. ChartQuill keeps
the data with the block and renders responsive, accessible charts that feel
native to the article, report, or page around them.

No iframe, hosted chart service, or front-end CDN is required. Your charts
remain editable in WordPress, your data stays under your control, and semantic
fallback content keeps the underlying information available beyond the visual.

The free edition includes:

  • Vertical and horizontal single-series bar charts.
  • Vertical and horizontal grouped bar charts.
  • Line charts, scatter plots, histograms, heatmaps, and pie charts.
  • Common chart controls for number/date formats, ordering, legends, ticks,
chart height, bar spacing/corners, line shape, and point size.
  • A guided sample start plus one spreadsheet-like editor with direct CSV/TSV
paste, explicit Apply or Cancel actions, and chart-appropriate field mapping.
  • Title, accessible summary, source, and unit fields.
  • Theme-aware colours, legends, optional grid lines, and context-sensitive labels.
  • Readable chart tags that are unique within a post.
  • Responsive, self-hosted SVG enhancement without an iframe or chart service.
  • One-click linked Chart Data Table blocks with clear connection status,
captions, Minimal/Grid/Striped native Block Styles, two densities, standard
block styling, and saved snapshots that can outlive their source chart.
  • Two opt-in, demo-ready ChartQuill starter patterns; activation never creates
    demo pages.
  • A ChartQuill settings page for the default colour of newly inserted charts.
  • Wide and full-width alignment.

Each chart and its data are saved with the post. Titles, summaries, sources,
and any linked data table remain available if the visual cannot be rendered,
helping the underlying information stay accessible and useful.
