Danico Chat gives Persian-speaking visitors a direct way to contact your team from your website. Visitors use a right-to-left chat widget, and your team reads and answers conversations inside the WordPress dashboard.
The plugin runs on your own WordPress installation. It does not require a Danico account, an API key, a paid subscription, or an external chat service. Conversation data is stored in your site’s database.
The plugin stores conversations in dedicated WordPress database tables and loads its scripts, styles, and images locally. It makes no automatic requests to Danico or another external service.
New messages are requested every five seconds while the relevant chat screen is open and the browser tab is visible. There is no separate WebSocket server to configure. Polling depends on your site’s REST API and hosting resources.
Danico’s separate professional product is introduced on this plugin’s settings page. Following that link is optional; the free live chat works independently.
When a visitor starts a conversation, the plugin stores any name and phone number they provide, their chat messages, message timestamps, conversation status, unread counts, and a hash of a random conversation access token. Operator replies also store the replying user’s WordPress user ID.
The visitor’s browser stores the conversation ID and access token in local storage so that the conversation can be resumed in the same browser. Clearing that storage removes the browser’s ability to resume the conversation, but does not delete the server-side messages.
The plugin does not store IP addresses in its chat tables. For abuse prevention, it uses a WordPress transient keyed by a hash derived from the request IP. Its expiration is set to one minute when the transient is updated. No chat data is automatically sent to Danico or another external service.
Users with chat permissions can view conversations, including any optional contact details. Administrators can delete individual conversations and their messages. There is no automatic retention schedule in this release. Site owners should explain their use of chat and retention policy in their site’s privacy notice.
All PHP, JavaScript, and CSS source is included in this plugin. The files in assets/js/ and assets/css/ are the editable source files loaded directly by WordPress. There are no generated bundles, minified alternatives, third-party libraries, or build tools required to modify this release.
