Factory Reset allows you to reset your WordPress site to a fresh installation state. This tool is helpful for developers, testers, or anyone who needs to quickly clean their WordPress environment without reinstalling it. The plugin deletes all database entries, custom tables, media files, plugins, themes, and more. The only exceptions are the current admin user and this plugin itself.

Features:

  • Deletes all posts, pages, and custom post types.
  • Removes comments and media files.
  • Deletes all users except the current admin user.
  • Cleans up custom database tables with the wp_ prefix.
  • Deletes all plugins and themes except this plugin.
  • Removes all files in the wp-content/uploads folder.
  • Resets WordPress settings to their defaults.

Safe for Admin:

After the reset, the current admin user is preserved, and basic WordPress settings like the site URL remain intact.

Usage

  1. Go to the Tools > Factory Reset page.
  2. Read the warning message carefully.
  3. Click the Reset Site button and confirm your action.
  4. The site will reset to its default state, and you will be redirected to the WordPress dashboard.
