Net, tax and gross for any date range, with a row for every country you sold
into. The report a shop needs before it can fill in a VAT return.
Every figure comes off the orders themselves. The tax lines an order
carries record the amounts as they were charged. Nothing here is worked
out again from the store’s current tax table — a country raises its VAT, a
rate is corrected, and a plugin that recomputes quietly restates a return
that has already been filed. This one cannot.
A sale is reported under where the goods went, falling back to the
billing country when there is no shipping address, which is the ordinary case
for digital goods. The fallback is counted and named on the report rather
than assumed, because filing under the wrong country is exactly what this
kind of plugin exists to prevent.
Money in two currencies is not money. Orders placed in a currency other
than the store’s are left out of the totals, counted, and said out loud.
Refunds come off. A return is not a sale, and the tax on it is not tax
the shop owes.
Gatemi Tax Reports for WooCommerce
is a separate plugin, sold on gatemi.com, that adds a line per country
and tax rate — the shape an OSS return is filed in, with the label the
order itself carries — and the country and per-rate tables as CSV downloads.
Both editions store their settings the same way, so upgrading keeps them.
None. This plugin makes no request anywhere.
