GT3D – Abandoned Cart for WooCommerce saves your visitors’ carts, tracks what is added and removed, follows each cart’s status (in progress, abandoned, reminder sent, pending payment, completed) and helps you win back customers who left without ordering.
Customers are never identified behind their back: nothing is read from the checkout fields of a guest. A customer is identified when they are logged in, when they ask to save their cart (pop-up or cart page button), or when they press the “Remind me about my cart by email” button on the checkout page.
WooCommerce is a registered trademark of Automattic Inc. This plugin is an independent extension for WooCommerce, not affiliated with or endorsed by Automattic or WooCommerce.
Features
- Automatic cart saving with a full history of added, removed and changed products.
- Cart statuses: in progress, abandoned, reminder sent, pending payment, completed.
- Exit-intent pop-up and a discreet floating button to offer saving the cart (text customisable).
- A small, non-blocking card after a product is added to the cart, offering to email the cart (can be turned off).
- “Save my cart” and “Share my cart” buttons on the cart page.
- Checkout button “Remind me about my cart by email” (guests choose to be reminded).
- Customers with an account get their saved cart back when they log in, merged with the cart they had before logging in. A visitor who types the email of an account is asked to log in.
- A returning visitor who types the email of an existing saved cart receives an email to merge it with the current cart or delete it. Nothing is merged or deleted just because an address was typed.
- Emptied saved carts no longer receive reminders and are updated if they are filled again.
- Cart recovery link: the customer gets their cart back in one click.
- Share link: a frozen copy of the cart, with no customer data.
- Reminder email sent through WooCommerce’s own email template, with product thumbnails and prices, a customisable subject and content, merge tags and a live preview in the settings.
- Optional coupon code shown in the reminder.
- Configurable delay before sending and maximum age of the carts to remind.
- Unsubscribe link in every email, and automatic re-subscription when the customer saves a cart again.
- Reports: carts, abandoned, reminders, clicks, recovered carts and recovered revenue. A cart counts as recovered only if the reminder link was clicked and the order was placed.
- Weekly (Monday) and monthly (1st) recap emails to the shop owner. Both can be turned off.
- Exclusions: user roles, email addresses (wildcards), countries and IP addresses. Carts from countries WooCommerce does not sell or ship to are not saved.
- Automatic data cleanup: anonymous carts are deleted after 48 hours, identified carts after the retention period you choose, and purchased carts are deleted at once (only anonymous statistics remain).
- Compatible with the Cart and Checkout blocks and with High-Performance Order Storage.
Privacy
- Works with the WordPress personal data export and erasure tools (Tools > Export / Erase Personal Data). Erasing removes the customer’s carts, history and shared copies, and keeps only the unsubscription record.
- No external service is called unless you agree to share anonymous usage statistics (see “External services”). The visitor’s country is detected with WooCommerce’s local MaxMind database only, when you have configured it.
- Files that customers upload for a product (when another plugin allows it) are copied to a private folder in the uploads directory, only to put them back if they are removed before the cart is recovered. They are deleted with the cart.
- IP addresses are never stored: only a salted hash is kept to recognise the same visitor.
- Customers can unsubscribe from reminders at any time and you can delete any cart from the admin.
Remember to mention the plugin in your privacy policy.
External services
This plugin can send anonymous usage statistics to the author’s server (GT3D Makers). It is only used to know which versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP and which settings the plugin must support. It is off unless you agree: a notice on the plugin’s pages asks once, and you can change your answer at any time in Abandoned carts > Settings > General (“Share anonymous usage statistics”), where the exact data is shown.
Data sent, once a week while the option is on: a random identifier of the installation (not your site address); the plugin, WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions (major.minor); the site language; the web server type; whether multisite, a block theme, high-performance order storage and a known cache plugin are used; which features of the plugin are turned on; the email template and reminder delay chosen; and approximate volumes in ranges (for example “11-50 carts saved in 30 days”). No site address, email address, name, cart content or other customer data is sent.
This service is provided by GT3D Makers: terms of use, privacy policy.
