Leda Publish Check helps editors see what is missing, unclear, or unfinished before an item is published or updated.
It checks the title, body, headings, excerpts, links, images, taxonomies, and editorial tasks you define. Results are grouped, explained, and paired with a practical next step. Publishing stays advisory until you mark a check as required.
Mandatory rules are enforced on the server. That includes the block editor, the classic editor, the REST API, bulk and quick edits, WP-CLI, and scheduled publication. Autosaves, revisions, and imports are left alone.
The plugin does not send content, analytics, or account data to Bez Leda Studios or any other service. Optional external link checks, which are off by default, request only the URLs in the content and say so in Settings.
Passing these checks does not guarantee editorial quality, accessibility compliance, or search performance. The plugin reports conditions it can verify, such as a missing file or an empty heading. It does not judge whether alternative text is a good description.
The block editor shows a readiness line, a Publish Check panel, and a pre-publish summary. Results update as you edit. The classic editor shows the same rules in a metabox and can recheck the current fields. Content lists can show a compact readiness column based on the last saved result.
Other plugins can register checks with leda_publish_check_register_rule(). See docs/developer-api.md.
Leda Publish Check stores editorial-task progress and readiness summaries in your WordPress database. It does not transmit content, analytics, or personal data to Bez Leda Studios or any other service.
If an administrator enables external link checking, the site sends a request to the external URLs being validated. Those sites may see the server address. Results are cached locally. The feature is off by default and is disclosed on the Settings screen.
