LS – AI Editorial Engine brings AI-assisted writing directly into the WordPress editor. Draft full blog posts, refine existing text, and generate SEO meta data without leaving your post — using your own OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google Gemini API key.
The plugin works in both the Block Editor (Gutenberg) sidebar and the Classic Editor metabox. You stay in control: you choose the provider, the model, the language, the tone and the persona used for generation.
Free features
- Generate full blog post drafts from a prompt or topic
- Enhance and polish existing content (grammar, flow, structure)
- Generate SEO meta title, meta description and a focus keyword
- Choose between OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Google Gemini models
- Control output language, formal/informal address and anglicism level
- Define a brand persona and global context for consistent results
- Works in the Block Editor (sidebar) and the Classic Editor (metabox)
Pro features
The following features require a Pro license (handled via Freemius):
- Inline optimization of selected text (rephrase, clarify, SEO, tone, and more)
- Auto-Blogger: scheduled automatic post creation via WP-Cron
- Strategic topic pool generator
- AI-based category assignment
- Style learning from a writing sample, preferred key terms and minimum length
- Default writing styles
- Affiliate Link Assistant: store your own affiliate links once and let the AI weave fitting ones into the content (inline keyword links and/or a recommendation block). Links use rel=”sponsored nofollow noopener”, a server-side maximum-links limit is enforced, and only the exact URLs from your settings are used.
- Optional AI featured-image generation (works together with the separate, free “LS – AI Image Generator” plugin; if it is not installed, the option is simply skipped)
You can compare plans and upgrade from the plugin’s account/pricing screen.
Bring your own API key
This plugin does not include or resell AI usage. You enter your own OpenAI and/or Google Gemini API key in the settings. All AI requests are billed to your own provider account according to that provider’s pricing.
External services
This plugin connects to third-party services to provide its core functionality. No content is sent to any external service until you actively trigger a generation action or enable a feature that requires it.
OpenAI (ChatGPT) API
Used to generate and enhance content when you select an OpenAI model.
- What is sent: the text/prompt you generate or enhance, your configured system instructions (persona, context, language, tone, writing styles), the selected model name and generation parameters (e.g. temperature). For inline actions, the selected text and surrounding context you chose are sent. If you enable the Affiliate Link Assistant, the affiliate entries you stored (titles, URLs, descriptions, keywords) are included in these instructions so the model can integrate fitting links.
- When: only when you start a generation, enhancement, inline action, SEO generation or topic generation that uses an OpenAI model.
- Where: requests go to https://api.openai.com/ and are authenticated with the OpenAI API key you enter in the plugin settings.
- Provider terms: https://openai.com/policies/terms-of-use
- Provider privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Google Gemini API
Used to generate and enhance content when you select a Gemini model.
- What is sent: the same kind of data described above (prompt/selected text, system instructions, model name and generation parameters, and — if enabled — your affiliate entries).
- When: only when you start an action that uses a Google Gemini model.
- Where: requests go to https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/ and are authenticated with the Google Gemini API key you enter in the plugin settings.
- Provider terms: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
- Provider privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Freemius
This plugin uses Freemius to handle licensing, the optional account/upgrade flows and an optional, opt-in usage/diagnostics report.
- The usage report is opt-in: it is only sent if you explicitly agree during activation. You can use the free features without opting in, and you can skip or revoke the opt-in.
- What may be sent on opt-in: basic environment and plugin usage data (for example WordPress and PHP version, active plugin/theme information and the site URL/admin email used for the license/account). API keys and your generated content are not part of this report.
