Moustache AI for WooCommerce

Moustache AI is an AI customer service assistant for online stores. This plugin connects your store to your Moustache AI account:

• displays the Moustache AI chat widget on your store, once you enable it;
• lets your assistant read your catalog (products, variations, prices, stock) to answer product questions;
• optionally lets it answer “where is my order?” for ONE order, only after the customer confirmed their email address with a one-time code;
• shows the connection status and a connection test in your WordPress admin.

A Moustache AI account and subscription are required. Agent settings (tone, instructions, knowledge sources) are managed in your Moustache AI dashboard.

External services

This plugin connects to Moustache AI, a service operated by Moustache AI. On a fresh installation, it sends nothing before you click “Connect my Moustache AI account”. If you previously enabled a Moustache AI widget, that older widget can continue to load until you connect or explicitly disconnect it.

• Connection service (https://app-shop.moustacheai.com): when you connect, your store address, its site id and a one-time code are sent to link the store to your account. Once connected, the plugin periodically sends its connection token to read the connection status, renew the token or run a connection test you requested. On disconnection or uninstall, it asks the service to revoke the connection.
• Requests from Moustache AI to your store: Moustache AI calls this plugin’s REST endpoints (/wp-json/moustacheai/v1/…) with signed requests, to check the connection and, for the permissions you granted, to read catalog data or one verified order. No customer profile, postal address, phone number or payment data is read.
• Chat widget (the HTTPS chat origin given by Moustache AI at connection, for example https://app.moustacheai.com): when you enable the widget, visitors’ browsers request the chat script and configuration from that origin. This sends ordinary request data such as IP address and browser headers to Moustache AI. Conversations started in the hosted chat are processed by Moustache AI.
• Browser storage: the plugin itself does not write to browser storage. The hosted chat can read a compact-mode preference when the page loads and writes that preference when the chat opens. Its iframe may store a conversation reference so a visitor can resume a conversation. If automatic opening is enabled in the agent settings, this can happen without a click. Inform visitors in your store privacy notice before enabling the widget.
