How it works (simple setup)

1. Install and activate this plugin (WooCommerce required)
2. Open Order Alerts in the WordPress admin menu
3. Choose which order statuses should send alerts, then click Generate pairing code
4. For mobile (Android / iPhone): scan the QR code or enter the 6-digit code in the free PWA
5. For desktop: paste the 6-digit pairing code into the free Chrome, Edge, or Firefox extension
6. Place a test order — when it hits a selected status (e.g. Processing), you get an instant alert

This plugin relies on an external API service to deliver instant order notifications to paired mobile apps and browser extensions.

• Service Name: OrderAlerts API
• Service URL: https://api.orderalerts.app
• Data Transmitted: Store name, store URL, server-generated API credentials (stored only in WordPress), short-lived pairing codes for client setup, order numbers, order total amount, currency, order status, customer name, email, phone, billing address, shipping address, and item details (SKU, item name, quantity, price). Order notifies are signed with HMAC-SHA256; the secret is not sent to browsers.
