The frontend is designed as a dedicated dating experience rather than a collection of standard WordPress profile pages.

Start with one page

Polanger Dating can run from a single WordPress page using:

The plugin handles the member-facing dating experience inside that page, including registration, login, profiles, discovery, interactions, matches, messaging and member account screens.

After completing registration, members sign in through WordPress authentication. The registration flow does not create a login session. Failed or expired dating registrations remove only dating records and preserve the WordPress account for normal sign-in or password recovery.

Administrators can then control the dating platform from the Polanger Dating settings inside WordPress.

Profiles built for dating

Members can create and manage profiles containing information relevant to dating and matchmaking.

Depending on the administrator’s configuration, profiles can include interests, languages, relationship intentions, location and optional personal information.

Administrators control which supported profile fields are enabled and which fields can be used for discovery and advanced filtering.

This allows each site to decide how much profile information it wants to collect without forcing every dating community to use the same profile structure.

Discovery, likes and matching

Members can discover other eligible profiles using the site’s configured dating, preference, privacy and visibility rules.

Polanger Dating keeps discovery, likes and matching connected to the same member system.

Members can express interest through likes, and mutual interest can create a match.

Matches continue using the same member profiles, privacy controls and conversation system.

Advanced search and filtering

Polanger Dating supports dating-focused discovery and filtering.

Administrators can control which supported profile information is available for members and which fields can participate in advanced search.

This keeps profile data, discovery and filtering connected rather than requiring separate search or profile plugins.

Private messaging

Private messaging is included in the free core plugin.

Members can start and manage private conversations without requiring a separate chat, social network or community plugin.

Messaging works with the platform’s member permissions, blocking, reporting, privacy and moderation rules.

Privacy and moderation

Dating communities need more than profiles and messages.

Outgoing verification and notification email uses the WordPress mail configuration of the website.

Polanger Dating uses dedicated dating data structures and purpose-built application services rather than treating the platform as a collection of unrelated WordPress profile features.

The system is designed so that optional functionality can remain modular instead of forcing every installation to load every available feature.

Polanger Dating does not require BuddyPress to create member profiles, discovery, matching or private messaging.

Multilingual and Translation-Ready

Polanger Dating System uses WordPress internationalization practices. English is the source language, and the plugin includes compiled interface translations for the following additional languages:

• English (source language)

• Simplified Chinese

The bundled translations are included in the plugin’s languages directory. WordPress.org language packs, when available, take precedence over bundled files. Automatic language-pack distribution depends on the WordPress translation platform’s review process. Additional community translations can be contributed through WordPress’s translation ecosystem.

Local location data

Included city and country reference data is derived from GeoNames and stored locally with the plugin.

Polanger Dating does not contact GeoNames while members use the dating website.

Attribution and licensing information for the included location data is available in:

assets/data/locations/ATTRIBUTION.txt

Privacy

Polanger Dating System processes information required to operate a dating community.

Depending on the site’s configuration and member activity, this may include:

• Account information

• Moderation records

Polanger Dating integrates with the WordPress personal data export and erasure tools.

Erasure can remove dating-specific information according to the plugin’s erasure workflow.

Dating conversations may be removed for both participants as part of the configured erasure process. Shared WordPress users and commerce orders remain outside the dating-specific erasure process.

Certain limited safety or administrative records may be anonymized or retained where required by the configured workflow.

Site administrators are responsible for describing their site’s data processing, retention periods, moderation practices and legal basis in their own privacy notice.

Registration requires the site to have a published privacy notice and community rules or safety policy configured for Polanger Dating.

Development Source

The plugin’s PHP source code is included in the distributed plugin package.

Human-readable custom JavaScript source files are also included in the distributed package.

The custom JavaScript shipped with Polanger Dating is directly maintainable and does not require unavailable or hidden source code to reproduce the plugin’s own functionality.

For example, the human-readable source for the sidebar utilities is included at:

assets/js/sidebar-utilities.js

That file is used directly and does not require a compilation or build step.

Third-party code and data included with the plugin retain their applicable attribution and licensing information.
