RankSWAT SEO provides the WordPress execution layer for RankSWAT.
It can run local WordPress SEO features on its own, including metadata, structured data, sitemaps, robots controls, redirects, breadcrumbs, image SEO, local SEO, and technical diagnostics.
Site owners can optionally pair the plugin with a RankSWAT project. When paired, RankSWAT Platform becomes the source of truth for centrally governed audits and intelligence while the WordPress plugin remains the execution and local-fallback layer.
The plugin is designed so that public executable plugin updates remain managed by WordPress.org.
Pairing with RankSWAT Platform is optional.
After explicit administrator connection, the plugin can:
Remote write actions are disabled by default and must be enabled locally by an administrator.
The connector does not expose arbitrary PHP, SQL, shell, or filesystem execution.
Stable public releases are distributed exclusively through WordPress.org.
RankSWAT SEO does not provide a self-updater, does not modify WordPress update discovery, and does not change WordPress automatic-update preferences. Update checks, downloads, installation, and automatic-update controls remain owned by WordPress core and WordPress.org.
RankSWAT SEO can provide local WordPress rendering/fallback features without connecting to RankSWAT Platform. Optional integrations contact external services only when the relevant feature is configured or explicitly connected.
When an administrator explicitly pairs this WordPress site with a RankSWAT project, the plugin communicates with the RankSWAT service at https://app.rankswat.com/.
Data may include the site URL, WordPress/plugin/runtime versions, declared connector capabilities, synchronized ruleset version, bounded content/SEO context requested by an authorized project workflow, and the results of allowlisted management actions.
This data is used for project synchronization, centrally governed SEO rules, audits/intelligence, runtime health, and authorized site-management workflows.
Connection is optional. The one-click authorization is domain-bound and short-lived. Remote writes are disabled by default.
