ShopAltAI

ShopAltAI is a thin API client for the ShopAltAI SaaS — no AI generation
runs inside WordPress. This plugin pulls your live WooCommerce products
and Media Library images, sends them to ShopAltAI’s API for generation,
and writes the result back into WordPress only after you review and
accept it.

Product Generator — select WooCommerce products and generate a full
listing (title, description, SKU, price suggestion, attributes, tags,
SEO fields) from the product’s existing image.

Alt Text Generator — select images from the Media Library and
generate accurate alt text.

Every screen is manual-trigger only — nothing is generated or written
back automatically. Generation consumes your ShopAltAI account’s credit
balance (or your BYOK key, if configured on the dashboard), shown in the
plugin’s admin header.

Requirements

• A ShopAltAI account and API key (Settings → WordPress plugin on the
  ShopAltAI dashboard).
• WooCommerce, active, for the Product Generator screen only.

v1 scope

• WordPress only — no other CMS.
• No webhooks or automatic generation on new content.

External service

This plugin is a client for ShopAltAI, a third-party AI content service
at shopaltai.com. No AI generation happens inside WordPress — the
plugin sends content to ShopAltAI’s API and writes the result back into
WordPress only after you review it in the plugin’s panel and click
Accept. A ShopAltAI account and API key are required; without one, the
plugin’s screens load but generation is disabled.

Data is sent only when you manually click “Auto Generate” on the
Product Generator or Alt Text Generator screen, for the specific
items you’ve selected. Nothing is sent automatically, on a schedule,
or when content is created, edited, or saved elsewhere in WordPress.

What is sent, per generation:

• Both generators — the image itself. If the file is readable
  directly off local disk, its actual bytes are sent (base64-encoded);
  if not (for example, a media-offload plugin storing files on S3),
  the image’s public URL is sent instead and ShopAltAI fetches it.
• Product Generator — additionally, the product’s title and its
  WooCommerce category names, as context for the generated listing.
  The product’s existing description is not sent.
• Every request — your ShopAltAI API key, sent as a bearer token
  to authenticate the request. It is stored in this site’s WordPress
  options table and never transmitted anywhere except to
  shopaltai.com.

No data is sent to any service other than ShopAltAI’s own API
(shopaltai.com). The plugin does not use any analytics, advertising,
or third-party tracking service.
