Sotask Widget lets you display your Sotask challenges and sprints directly on your WordPress site. Visitors can participate in challenges, submit proof of completion, and earn rewards without leaving your site.

External services

This plugin connects to the Sotask API (a third-party service operated by Sotask, https://sotask.fr) to display gamified challenges (“sprints”), authenticate end users, record participations, upload proof of task completion, and validate WooCommerce purchases against sprint tasks. Without a valid Sotask API key configured by the site administrator, the plugin does not connect to any external service.

Data sent to Sotask, and when it is sent:

• When the administrator saves the API key in the plugin settings: the API key is sent to Sotask to validate it and retrieve the associated brand information.
• When a logged-in visitor opens the widget or a sprint shortcode: the plugin sends the visitor’s email address (and profile data such as name, avatar) to Sotask to create or match a Sotask account and load the sprint list.
• When a visitor submits proof of task completion: the plugin sends the proof (image file, URL or validation code) together with the task and sprint identifiers, and the visitor’s session token.
• When a WooCommerce order status becomes “completed” or “processing”: the plugin sends the order ID, total amount, the list of purchased products (product IDs, names, quantities, prices, category IDs) and the customer email to the Sotask e-commerce webhook, in order to automatically validate matching purchase tasks.
• When a visitor spins a lottery wheel or requests a leaderboard: the plugin sends the sprint identifier and the visitor’s session token.
• Periodically while the visitor is logged in: the plugin sends the refresh token to Sotask to renew the session.

E-commerce Setup

1. Log in to your Sotask account at sotask.fr
2. Go to your brand profile
3. Copy your API key
4. In WordPress, go to Settings > Sotask Widget
5. Paste your API key
6. Orders will be automatically sent to Sotask for validation
